The original task was framed as flood protection, which turned into a full scale urban design project thanks to the application of architectural and landscape interventions.

As a result, the Ybbs waterfront was fully redesigned in terms of urban infrastructure, monuments and historic building preservation, landscape preservation and flood protection. The completed design is a harmonious overall impression combined with a new urban utilization.
