Mitterarnsdorf was formerly owned by the Archbishopric of Salzburg and is now part of the market town of Rossatz-Arnsdorf. In addition to the construction of a new flood defence wall and the redesign of the bank area, local storage areas were required for the mobile flood defence elements. These were found in the two listed parish barns, which were in need of renovation. By converting and restoring these barns, historical, architectural heritage was preserved for the future and resources were saved at the same time.
